Welcome to the Vincentian Scholars Program at Niagara University

Program Requirements

The Vincentian Scholars Program offers scholarships to three new freshmen each year.  The scholarships include an annual, renewable scholarship of $5,000.  During their four years, students must achieve the following:

1. Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
2. Complete a minor in either Catholic Studies, Justice and Peace, or Poverty Studies
3. Complete service requirements and at least one significant service trip
4. Participate in all Vincentian Scholars program events
5. Participate in the EAGLE Leadership program
6. Complete an independent study in their junior year
7. Complete a capstone project by their senior year
8. Adherence to all university and student code of conduct guidelines
9. Active membership in campus clubs and organizations

Application Requirements

1. 85 grade point average
2. Minimum combined SAT (Critical Reading and Math) of 1050 or an ACT composite score of 23 or greater
3. Service Resume
4. Essay
5. Two recommendations

All students who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply.  Preference will be given to students from the City of Niagara Falls.  Students who advance to the second round of the application process will be invited to interview with the selection committee.
